So I have a little midland radio handheld with the option to run an antenna. So bought a 2ft ngp fire stick which I was going mount to front bumper hoop. I was going to run the coaxial cable through the firewall around the engine bay then out to the mount. Seems like I just crimp the coaxial to the antenna, tune and done. Question? Will this have an adverse effect on the antenna and range or would y’all suggest a different approach? Eventually I will upgrade the radio and antenna when I replace the rear bumper.
