can't read the print...but
depends how deep you want to go and what you want from them really
aluminum is nice cuz it's light but may crack if hit hard.
the steel is more durable and can be modified welded..ect but is heavier
and if you add a winch then the f/e may need upgrade to handle the weight too.
same with the rear adding a tire carrier , jack ect ...next is a spring upgrade.

hefty is a good name and they have nice bumpers.
I like the recessed fog style on them.

arb and shrocks are your other options
any way you go they are pricey so choose wisely.....

If you aren't going to be wheeling the truck, I'd say aluminum would be better to save weight & minimize any increase in fuel consumption. But more $'s though!!

I weld aluminum very frequently at work and you should know that aluminum loses about 40 percent of its setength at the weld. For a bumper, I'd prefer a 1/8" thickness (11 ga) steel that is well designed to an aluminum one. I work with 1/4 alum a lot and the welds themselves are significantly less strong than a lighter gauge steel.


Btw I have full aluminium underbody skidplating that has held up very well oved the years, but they have VERY few welds. Aircrafts and boats utilize rivets and fasteners more often than they use welds. The forces that they are subjected to require a more reliable joining process.

If you do choose the bumpers put some type of rubber gasket material between the dissimilar metals to prevent galvanic corrosion.

I would recommend what Shrockworks uses. 3/16 plate and 3/8 steel for mounting brackets and recovery points. I have seen bumpers made from lesser materials bend when the truck is raised by the bumper with a Hi-Lift jack.

Hardcore is what she went with.

Labor provided by me. Took about 4 hours with a LONG run to the hardware store to get the correct bolt/nut combo to install the fogs. Some precarious balancing on the floor jack got the bumper into the correct position so I could get the bolts in. Fit/finish was better than I expected at first glance. Cory does indeed do some good work.

ANTI-SEIZE the bolts for the love of God. It's a pain to get off, but the headache it saves in removal is invaluable.

Can see it now. Looks good. You have to paint the shackles the same color as the truck now!! :-)

For pics, I find it easiest to upload them directly from my phone to Tapatalk. Works like magic.
