Hey all,
So just doing some research to see what people are running for exhausts?
Thinking my next mods will be a cold air intake (VolAnt) but I realized no use in taking a big breathe if you can't exhale, so logic dictates you should probably do the exhaust too.
I know some are running flowmasters, curious if anyone has a Doug Thorley cat back set up ?
All advice welcome !
Mike

The best bang-for-the-buck exhaust on the second gen, is to replace the OEM muffler with a Magnaflow 12580. It's a dual in/single out muffler. Then have an exhaust shop cut out the shitty factory y-pipe, weld in two separate tubes, and keep the factory tailpipe. the restrictive part of our system is the y-pipe, which is crimped down to a smaller diameter to accommodate the small collector. By eliminating it, and using two separate tubes, it allows it to breath a lot better. You will lose some low-end though. Exhausts systems tend to shift power higher in the RPM band. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6f9M-YOiHYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLjn2CqFxLU

I have a Volant CAI, and I had a Flowmaster Super 44 Series installed this past summer. It's a single in, single out, so I still have the factory Y-pipe. It sounds good enough for me.
