Schrockslider install 2nd gen question

Doesn't anyone know if I should remove the tear plastic wings before I put these sliders on ?

Don't know if you need to but it's a good idea. I've seen those little plastic pieces rip off on the trail.

Thanks Suresh that's what I thought , I'm going to have to postpone the install a day or two , but at least I got one on and off so this should go pretty smooth for me , still trying to swing next weekend

Those plastic things are funny; I think Nissan referred to them as rock guards, believe it or not.
