What do you guys think of this bumper
https://www.calmini.com/detail.php?b=1& ... 6&p=901&n=
to replace the one I just toasted at the Mill on my frontier? I was thinking of going with the Calmini Tube front bumper also as a matching set
https://www.calmini.com/detail.php?b=1& ... 6&p=900&n=

The biggest issue I see is no way to mount a winch but I do like the tube bumpers
(although I might just like the price best). Anyone see one with a winch mount?

I think the damage at the mill has finally gotten me over the hump to just buying new bumpers finally.

You plan on towing anything? I don't see a tow hitch on that rear bumper. And I'm not sure if there's going to be that much more clearance than the stock.
The front one looks cool.

I already have a tow hitch which would stay as with the body lift on it already it would be below the new bumper. I have a 2010 Frontier King Cab with 285/75 R16s. It is night armour so that dark grey color. I would probably just do the bumper in black to match the shrock sliders etc.

I think the front tube bumper looks pretty good. I thought of it again at the mill this weekend as one of the X's has one and it looked better in real life than the pictures did. I would just have to figure out how to work a winch mounting plate in there.

I was considering this bumper for my 2000 Crew Cab at one time, but the winch mount issue was a concern. I called and they said folks have fabbed up things before. I wound up staying with shrockworks, cant get more solid than that. The pre runner tube bumper also had gaps where branches and such things can penetrate which also deffered me. Plus's are that its lighter, and less expensive.

Tube/Prerunner bumpers are really meant for desert and racing rigs, since they need weight reduction and are less likely to run into things that will sneak through the gaps. Those of us tooling around in sticks and mud really should stick with full-plate designs (or at least tube bumpers with filler plates, a la MAXTerra).

P&P has done winch-ready tube bumpers for Xterras, I'm sure they can mod the mounts to fit your Fronty: http://www.engineeringpp.com/nissan_frontbumpers.html

Yeah I would rather a plate bumper but I have such a bad taste in my mouth from waitnig 8 months for shrockworks to complete all my skids that I hate paying $1k up front to have to call someone everyweek for 4-6 months asking when it is coming. Maybe I will look at ARB although their bumpers arent as clean looking.

They are worth the wait. I'm glad I did. They were done when they told me they would be. I didn't call them every week. That would be foolish and would not speed things up.
