So I had a big weekend. I received a generous Christmas bonus on Thursday. Enough to bring 33"s into my reach. I have been seriously considering Treadwright Guard Dogs. The reviews I saw from previous owners, along with the price point had me convinced. I was literally a single mouse click away from ordering them.

I took the pup for a walk before 'doing the deed.' After a long walk and a hard think(I don't jump to decisions of this type.) I decided to look a little deeper into my options. I scoured the internet. Looked everywhere I could think of.

Come to find out Tire Rack has a screaming deal on 285 Duratrac's. $205+tax for the tire of my dreams is a small price to pay. And the distribution center is in the same town as my work. So I can grab them there and dodge the shipping fee, saving another $28 per tire.

Roughly $650 for the Treadwrights vs $880 for the Duratrac's was still a tough call for me.

I took the plunge! I can pick up the Duratrac's tomorrow. My neighbor races at Stafford, he is going to mount them for me at his shop on Saturday. Perfect timing for Northern Exposure! I know this is a decision I won't regret.
