Wilson, I thought of modding a stock crossbar for that reason. Probably won't do it though. I seem to have gotten over that for now.

Koko, http://www.xmfanstore.com/showproduct.php?id=xm20cp . It's discontinued since everyone was these tiny antennas but me. The site is slow to load today so be patient.

It's a 2 wire antenna though. I think the roadie is a one wire. Not sure if you can go that way but they do make adapters to go from 2 to 1 or the other way around.

Scott, Does the snorkel kit come with everything I need or do I have to make a trip to Home Depot? [/quote]

The snorkel comes with everything you need to install it. I used a hole saw I had, I believe it was 3 1/2 inches or 3" but slightly larger that the metric saw they said and it worked perfectly. You will also need some fairly large drill bits (1/2 inch and larger, maybe a 7/8) for the bolt holes. If you don't have some metric box end ratchet wrenches, get some, they will come in very handy

Also, I pulled all my resonators, so you may need some pipe plugs and get some weather stripping glue for reattaching the drivers door weather stipping. Locktite, you'll need some locktite. Also, don't tighten down the snorkel until you get the tube inside the fender attached. Don't ask me how I know this.

Thanks Scott.

Next mod performed is I painted the grille satin black. Looks very similar to the Shrock bumper. I'll have pics tomorrow one the paint dries, not quite sure how it'll look yet.

I'll probably be painting the rear bumper end caps and the front fender panels behind the tires black as well if the grille looks good.

I'm going to check in PIAA 40 driving lights to mount in the holes in the Shrock bumper. Something needs to be there but I think the PIAA 510s are too small for this alone. They need some company. :D

I have Hella 500's on my yellow X and the look and work fine and the price isn't bad either.

The blue X came with IPF J-01 Driving/Fog combination lights. The are really slick and very effective. They also have a cool, little swich for the on/off, high/low fucntions that mounts right on the dash. They are like $330, which is more than I would spend on lights, but they are nice.

Any furher word on your rear bumper. Other than a bill on my credit card, I've heard nothing. Then again, I have not called.

Scott, Nothing yet. :( Would be nice to have it for this weekend. I have a buyer for my old TJM bumper from my Frontier. He's going to pick it up at Raush. That and the spare tire should make things a bit crowded in the X.

Here it is with the painted grille. I think it looks pretty good. I'll be stripping the other grey parts off for painting this week.

Thanks.

It's not 2-tone blue/yellow but I like it.

I don't like that X grey anyway, looks like faded plastic.

Only need an alignment and skid plates installed and she's ready for XFF!
