So I have tires that are running low and I've had them on since I bought my x. With that being said they are 265/70 r17. I just got a 2" lift kit installed and I want bigger tires, does anyone know how big I can go with a 17" rim size before I rub? I was thinking about 275/70 r17 or 285/70 r17. Any suggestions?

Personally I like a little skinner tire and would go with 255-80-17.

They are on Jeff's Rubi, while I have 255-85-16s on my X:



Keeps the weight down a bit and provides a longer contact footprint on the trail.

I just put 285/75-r17 on my 17 inch rims. Had to do the melt mod but very minor and that's about as much rubber as you can fit in there stock I think.
