Nice photo, one of yours?

I'm thinking the little Jammy may be the way to go. Wiring inside, hopefully there is room for a spring on top, they make it sound like there is. If the antenna can be screwed off for for DD duty all the better.

Nope somethin from the web, had to break his balls. Heres some shots of mines. Mixxali4 ran it in this location. Easy to snake the coax thru the interior roof and easy to access from rear trunk.

It is still susceptible to damages more so than the other locations and hookups suggested, however i just fig it gives me another reason to be more careful and not care-less w my truck.

Just curious, of those who have replied to this thread; does the CB in your truck work right now?

Ha, you guys are good. I can't tell ya how many times I've been on the trail with hard core folk, locked, loaded, thousands in lights, air, all kinds of mods and their fucking CB doesn't work. Cracks me up...

So true. But then in many hobbies/sports, you find people who sink a ton of money into having the latest and greatest, but lack some of the most basic equipment (or what they do have for the basics are worthless pieces of crap).

jordan(mainerX) has a 2' firestik mounted to his roof rack. im not sure if its gp or ngp. he goes on runs a lot and doesn't seem to have issues with it up there. maybe the roof isn't an option for you, just thought i would mention it.

It's actually a 3 footer, and it's ground plane. I ran a separate wire for the ground. It sits pretty high. I'm also running the Firestik heavy duty spring, and the Cobra 29lx CB, supertuned. I can hear and transmit super long distances, but tend to step on other peoples' radios if I'm too close.

Ive got a firestik magnet mount w/4' ground plane antenna.

I still need to tune it, but its not bad just plugged in....

I like it on the roof but I need a spring. Moving onto the shrock front bumper is nice too when I know Im going to be in low clreance areas. And the cable just runs through the door jam, it's pretty flexible and doesnt get kinked by the door.

I have my 4' firestik mounted on my tire carrier. Can't get it tuned to save my life. Good ground, everything checks out electrically. Still can get below 3 on 1 or 40. I bought it all used. Think I'm gonna switch to a ngp setup.
