Hey guys,

Ricel and I have decided to build 3 rear bumpers.

Here's our progress.

Started out with 3/16" plate for the bumper face, and 1/4" mounting plates/ reinforcement structures.

2x3" and 2x2" 3/16" tube for the swing arm.

The builder parts were sourced from www.comp4x4.com. Weld through recovery brackets, hitch receiver, hinge and latch.

Looks good man.... are you guys bringing the new bumper to show-off at ECXC? No better marketing spot for 2nd geners that ECXC.

Just saw this bumper in person this past weekend. VERY cool, and looking forward to seeing the finished product.

Question is - if you make more, what will the name on the product be?

Sadly, ECXC is not in the cards for me this year, started a business less than a year ago and that where my time goes.

We made a 3rd bumper because we had the extra steel and the costs were not that much more to have another CNC cut and bent. Figured someone else could get a solid bumper without the name brand premium cost and shipping.

We had a shrockworks rear bumper on hand to get most of the inspiration and tips where to properly provide the structural support.

No name needed, for now, it's just a limited addition.

Will this work with a 2" body lift?

The one in the picture still needs to be drilled out for a 2 inch lift, but I did leave myself enough room to do so later, the other brackets will be body lift compatible.

Here's a basic mock up, we can get better pictures when we are finished.

Price is difficult to determine at this time, we used a professional to plasma cut the steel and bend it in a large press, we also used a few pre-made builders parts, thus adding to the total cost. In the end it we'll make it look alot cleaner. It still will be less expensive then the major manufacturers and you will save on the cost of shipping because this is made in New England by the Nexterra crew.

Yep. $20 for the first 30-rack of work beers (I don't know what a 30 costs in NYC) , $15 for pizza, $15 for the celebratory beers, and the whole thing would be made out of broken leaf springs and attached by screws they found on the ground at Autozone.

But it would work and hold up!

After we're done with this one, I'd like to make another one, but use 2x4" 3/16" square tubing, like an open frame concept but probably not til next summer

More progress from this weekend.

Still need to

Finish welding swing arm.
Connect and weld on latch.
Chain hoops for Hitch.
Elongate mounting holes.
Prime and paint.
