Is there a rule of thumb for consideration regarding weight rating for each wheel. I see some wheels with a max load of 2200, others at 3420 in the ProComp styles I've begun to look at. What I'm looking for is a little wider stance than the stocks I'm running now. Max Load 3420 Max Load 2200

I'm no expert, and I don't think there is a rule of thumb, BUT, I would think that if you were planning on keeping equipment in the truck all the time, you may want to consider the strong rims. And now, since you have aftermarket bumpers on, and a winch, I'd think you'd want to lean more towards the stronger rims.
I'm guessing that by the placement of the spokes on the rim is what makes them stronger; so in the first one, they're in the middle of the rim, where as the second one, the spokes are closer to the outer edge of the rim.
