OK So i know we all have our opinions of Calmini. But i am considering doing this SAS kit in my driveway. It seems doable and will save money from having it completely fabricated at a shop.

All opinions are welcome.

No I'm reviewing my options and pricing things out. I'm not pulling the trigger anytime soon but I want to start reviewing my options and set aside money.

Try to reach out to Mehdi (KillerX) and pick his brain. He's had his for awhile and knows about it.

The two things I heard were the track bar issue and the powder coat flaking.

Well the powder coating can easily be solved. Either call them up and get it without powder coat, or sand it all down, prime and paint.

There was a guy years ago that got the kit without powder coat. He spray painted it orange. Mike "Shmitteyā€¯. He sold the truck right after he SASā€™d it.

Am I correct in saying that since this kit is all bolt-on, that, in theory, you could put your truck back to IFS if you wanted to?

Yes he did. Painted all the parts orange, OK4WD installed it. He sold the truck and disappeared right after.
No you can't go back to IFS.

After you SAS your truck you stop wheeling, stop participating, disappear and cut all the wheeling friends you've made over the past few years out of your life... You ether sell your X or let it rust away in your yard...

I think you're wrong. He didn't SAS his truck.

You are right, I'm thinking of a different Mike. "steinism" is the Mike I'm talking about.
