I am starting to realize this topic opens a can of worms :D

I'm looking at the Engo 1000lb...

http://thejeephut.com/index.php?main_pa ... googlebase

or the warn VR1000:...

http://www.warnfactoryoutlet.com/Winche ... -Winch.axd

Obviously the warn is more expensive. Is a warn winch worth the extra cost as far as reliability and lasting a long time goes?

What are your experiences when it comes to winches?

Get the Warn. They are worth it. The first problem I have had with mine was this fall. After many years in salt and bad weather, Countless pull in mud, it would not spool out properly. I took it to a local shop and they found a bad ground. $35 later and in works great.

Don't settle for cheap imitations.

The engo got really good ratings on one of the winch shoot outs on 4wheeler magazine. I have the engo e10000s with the synthetic rope and wireless remote from he jeep but.
