For those who have on board air, how big are your tanks?

Usually 20# or 10#. I know Dan (Veneful or findapath) just installed a 10# in his pathy for ~$175.

Me I went with the poor man's solution and a truck air compressor at Kmart. $35.

not sure what you call it....

But the metal thing that is holding the tank in place. And no, not the strap.

I'm trying to figure out what they call that. :D

That's a 5lb tank with a bracket...that's as complicated as it gets. Powertank makes great stuff, but expensive. I have their valve and valve protector. I bought my own 20lb aluminum tank which I exhange. That way I don't have to wait to have it filled. Drop it off and pick up a full one.

I was thinking of getting a 10# tank myself.. not sure where from yet. I was all set for the XF group buy that never ended up happening.

I have only seen a couple vendors that sell kits online.. i really liked one but forgot who it was.

You can get 5 & 10# tanks pretty cheap from a restaurant supplier (for powering kegs). The regulators are what is expensive, that is what is preventing me from using mine :(

Whatever you do, don't cheap out on the regulator. Most regulators are not designed for high flow...as the CO2 is released, it gets cold and can freeze up he regulator. That's why I went with a Power Tank regulator because they are designed for the application. It's adjustable and works great, but can still freeze up after filling four or more trucks. :D

Looks like I'm gonna get one our old fill stations from paintball and use that.

Don't remember what regulator we had on it, I don't think it was anything fancy. I'll have to find out.

Yep, that is why I am holding off. I am hoping to see one on ebay or somewhere. Plus I have to get it hydrostaticly tested before I can use it, there is a little bit of corosion on the brushed aluminum. Then I can paint it and be good to go :D .

Mike,

You should see if you can take the tank and just exchange it. That way, you never have to worry about testing it.

I go to a place here called AmeriGas. They are a welding supply company that sells all types of gas.
