I'm not exactly sure what happened here, but it looks like I bought a $730 exhaust for $85 shipped. I was only looking to modify the stock Y pipe. Right place at the right time?

Luck of the Irish is on my side this time. It's usually Murphy's Law lurking around the corner waiting to club me when I'm not paying attention.

I don't know anything about Gibson exhaust. If it sounds terrible, I'll replace the muffler with a Banks one. I love how the one in the Frontier sounds. It's stainless also, so it'll last a while.

I have my fingers crossed that I don't get an email saying 'I'm sorry, but we can't sell you this product at this price.'

Heck of a deal if it pans out. I had that on my X - it sounded a little ricey to me when I installed it, but sounded better the longer I ran it. Not sure if it was from the baffles in the muffler getting coated or what - but I only had it for a year or two. Something to watch out for - the muffler 'can' hangs down lower than the stock one. I ripped mine off on a log buried in some mud at Rausch Creek - folded it up real good. When installing it, try to get it tucked up there as far as possible. I ended up keeping the gibson Y-pipe and going custom. Portsmouth Lou's did a Y-back for me cheaper than buying another one

I haven't received it yet. It is in shipping limbo somewhere between Amazon and FedEx. Amazon says if I haven't received it by Sunday, contact them for a resolution. I still have my fingers crossed.

It would have cost me over $100 for the parts for the stock Y pipe replacement. I figure if that's all I get out of it in the end, I'm more than satisfied. I'll pull the part number off of the Banks muffler on my Frontier. I love how that sounds.

XVTer, thanks for the input on the exhaust. Especially about making sure I tuck it up in as far as possible. I'd rather not pull the thing off on the trail. (Or anything really)
