On a side note, I made a newbie mistake of not taking into account the max height of the stands when I bought mine a few years ago. I got the 3ton ones & find that they are too short to use on the frame. Work fine for supporting the axles though. If folks are like me buying for the first time, take that into consideration.

If you work on your vehicles a lot, having a set of lift blocks comes in real handy too. I made a set of 8 out of 4x4s and 2x6s for fairly cheap. 2 blocks have chocks on the top surface. They also have a hole thru the center of each, so they can be stacked 2 high and you use a long carriage bolt to 'pin' them together.

When I did the clutch on my Camaro, I was able to have the entire car 10" higher by putting 2 stacked lift blocks under each tire. It makes working under the car way easier for an old guy like me.
