I finally got the techs from JWT on the phone and got some great news about a group buy for their clutch & flywheel kit.

Ben, a JWT tech, listened to how I use my Xterra (Daily Driver and low speed Off-Road use) and recommended a pair of products best suited for the VQ40 that will out perform the OEM parts.

If we can get a minimum of 10 people (Xterra or Frontier owners) to purchase the clutch/flywheel kit we can receive a discount of over $250! The group buy price would be $659 + shipping, a discount of $271 from the original price of $935! Wow!

Here is the email he sent me today with all the product and group buy info.

I asked about including I Gens into this group buy and Ben from JWT informed they do not make a I Gen flywheel, they only make a clutch suitable for I Gens. He would like to keep this group buy for II Gen Xterras and Frontiers only with the VQ40 engine. Sorry guys.

Woot!

Installed my clutch this past week. Definitely impressed with the performance. Throttle response is much better. I will be curious to see how it performs offroad. Time will tell!

Got mine in the Truck today.

Well it's still in the Box but I was able to swing to VT to pick it up.

Install will be in Jan 2010ish.
