The thought process behind this decision was: The least expensive a flag would have been in a group purchase is $24.95. Nexterra would have needed to purchase a number of flags and sleeves up front, at the tiered pricing in a previous post. Having no idea how many of which color flag, and what size sleeves would be desired, along with Nexterra having to collect the $$ and orchestrate shipping. Nexterra would have needed to bump the price a little to cover the risk of having stock sit around. If there was more demand than anticipated, we would need to put in additional orders to cover that in anticipated demand. There seems to be no downside to having considering the flag price on their site is $24.95 from the start. It seemed like having ForeverWave.com host the purchases was much less complex. If we had some structure in place already, it would have made more sense to tackle this in house. |

Given the lack of interest when John posted first, it made the most sense to let Foreeverflag.com run the whole thing & have people go directly to them. We didn’t even have 8 people express interests I don’t think. We’ll take the learning to the next time we do something like this: Lesson learnt #1 - speak up & speak up early Lesson learnt #2 - expressed interest is not a good gauge if people will actually buy into it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
