No slack for Mike, he is held to a higher standard than the rest of us. "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown".

Cool! Too bad I don't eat fast food. The "Frank" one looks like Mike! It even spins its head like Mike does when he's pissed off or Conner is around...

Klarus sent me another flashlight to review - the RS30. Check out my video review here!

My review of the recently updated Klarus RS30, featuring the Cree XM-L2-U2 LED.

The Klarus RS30 features:

- A maximum of 2400 lumens on Turbo mode
- 5 lighting modes, and 2 flashing modes
- A rapid 2.5 hour recharging system, powered by an included magnetic charger, which can be plugged into a USB port on a wall charger, car charger and computer.
- A light beam distance of 260 m
- A lock out mode, to prevent accidentally turning the flashlight on while in your pocket or backpack
- Multiple combinations of 18650 and CR123 batteries

For more information, go to: http://www.klaruslight.com/index.php?m= ... 130&id=112

Mike's flashlight isn't the only thing with an odd shape.

Since I won a very cool Olight M3XS-UT Javelot at this year's ECXC (donated by GOINGGEAR.COM) I've decided to make Mike happy I and post about the flashlights I currently carry;

I've enhanced the out dated and inadequate maglite that I got from the Long Island Nissan Xterra Club (LINXC) back when that club was active with the M3XS-UT I won in the truck;

You can see part of the "LINXC" logo on the maglite...man that's a big, heavy light, good for clocking someone's head, but not so good as a light.
One of these days I need to win something to replace the maglight with...

I have an old Fenix LD01 on my key ring that has been with me whenever I leave the house for a few years. They no longer make this light and have replaced it with the E01, basically the same light.

I have a Fenix PD35 in my work bag so it's almost a daily carry item.

The PD35 and the M3XS-UT can take the same rechargeable (18650) battery. Kinda cool.

Sorry, I will not be posting any flashlight reviews... :freak:

Wow, I'm impressed, Tom. Very nice collection.

Have you bought any 18650 batteries yet? I would suggest the Olight Protected 3600mAh 3.6 Volt 18650 Battery. Also, you'll need a charger. This is the one I have on my desk at work: NiteCore Intellicharge i4

Thanks.
Yes, those are the batteries I bought (Olight Protected 3600mAh 3.6 Volt 18650 Battery).
I already have the older version of the Nitecore “Intellicharger i2” my wife got me when she gave me the Fenix PD35. It seems to be doing the job so I'm not planning to replace it.
The Fenix PD35 came with a Tenergy Protected 3.7V 2600mAh Lithium-Ion 18650 battery that I’m thinking of replacing with another of the Olight ones…

Can you recommend a replacement for that big maglite? Wide beam with some heft that could be used as a persuader if the need should arise…
