Well, I finally bought it, and it's now my EDC (Every Day Carry). GREAT little flashlight, and VERY bright! It uses a Cree XM-L U3 LED, and puts out a max of 500 lumens, and a min of less then 1 lumen. It has a ring that controls the output.
I then bought the one on the far left in the pic - the Nitecore SRT7 Revenger. Another cool flashlight that uses the ring technology, allowing for an "infinite" amount of lumens to set from 0 to 960. It also has a strobe, beacon, Red, Green, Blue and police modes to choose from. Another cool light!
The blue light is the Maglite XL50, which puts out 139 lumens. This one was given to me here at work. The GM's secretary ordered a bunch of these and gave them out to various people. Of course, she knows how much I like flashlights, so she gave one to me.
The last one on the right was given to me by a buddy of mine here at work. It's a SureFire E2E Executive Elite. He wanted me to see if it would handle rechargeable 123's. We tried it, and the bulb blew out (incandescent). He said to keep it, so I bought a new bulb, and some regular 123's. It puts out only 60 lumens, but this thing is pretty bright for its size. I'm impressed.
NOW, if that wasn't enough, I have one more thing to share. I've been in contact with Klarus, a flashlight manufacturer over in China. I have a couple of their models as seen in this picture here:
They have updated their XT11 with the latest Cree XM-L2 LED. After going back and forth via email, they sent me one to test and do a review on! I'm hoping I get to keep it. I'm still waiting for their reply.
Anyway, check out my very first flashlight review here!

LOL
I can't believe I never noticed this thread.
I'm Teej on candlepower forums.
What are your screen names over there?
I got into it because I do forensic investigations for work, etc, and the types of lighting that work, vs don't, vs work as well or not as well, is so wide that I ended up googling light options....and I ended up at SPF.

I'm MtDewMike on that board, too, although, I'm not on there that often. It's been a while.

What do you have in your collection?
I don't really consider it a "collection" per se, as I use them for aspects of work, etc...and they mostly just rattle about in the truck until I grab one, etc.
I have some of what you have, such as the XT11, and a variety of small lights of various wavelength and beam patterns, some medium range and some longer range, mostly used for either night shooting or disaster response, etc.
Ones you might know are Polarion PH 50 and Abyss, DeftX, TK70, Some Vinh Series thrower and flood lights, Surefire Hellfire HID, Nitecore TM 11 and TM36, and so forth.
So IR, UV plus between, as well as some lasers for signaling and or burning as needed.
