Kyle, are you looking for something you can still tailstand? If so, many of the new LED's will do that. Or are you looking for something that you can use handsfree?

I was just saying that the new 2AA Mag I picked up does that but my old one didn't.

Or did you mean about the tactical unit?

I was referring to the scalloped end on the tactical units pictured above, like your Klarus XT11 :)

I'm still a little confused. :)

You can get this to mod your AA Maglite to have a tactical tail button:

Nite Ize IQ Switch

I have it on one of my Mag's, and it works well. It has 5 modes - 3 levels of brightness, and 2 flashing modes.

I've been clean for a few years, thanks to rehab. It's hard not to go back with all the LED flashlights and my dad's addiction though. :D

Just started my collection with RAYOVAC EVB2D2D-BD9B Incandescent ANSI FL1, 9lumens, 7h, 75m, 246 ft. Bright, pre-focused beam. Easy push On/Off switch.
I got a great deal at ACE $5.99 for two…with the batteries!

Tom, we need to help you with your collection. That's more of a stocking stuffer you just bought yourself, especially when the lumens are in the single digits. :)

Haha, nope; I mean the jagged, scalloped end, the same end as the lens.

Granted, the scallops on that Klarus are a little bit more extreme than what I'd look for...still a nice multi-purpose and last-ditch defense piece.

Surefire is a good brand, however, one downfall is that most of them use the CR123 batteries, which are expensive. The LED's I have also take the 123's, but can also handle the rechargeable 123's (RCR123). I know first hand that when you try using the rechargeable 123 in a Surefire, you'll have problems. It's too much amperage for them. They need to fix that.

Yea man I go thru battries like a bastard, and they pricey, but they got the best output I ever done seen, Headlamp takes AA's preferably lithiums ... Solid as a tank "as well". Are those Klarus waterproof?
