I was reading a Tech Mag. today a came across this.
It is called the White Zombie a 1972 Datsun 1200 Drag Car
It's Converted to full electric and pulls 11's and 12's in the 1/4 mile
800 ft. lbs. of torque at 0+rpms!!!
I Think this thing is Awesome
He is promoting that electric cars can be as fun or better than gas cars.
It is street legal and driven on the streets in oregon.
There is a Mazda that is electric that races too.
It goes up against some serious cars and spanks them hard.
Here are some vids. of it in action watch how fast it leaves the line. :!:
http://www.plasmaboyracing.com/videos.php

With all that torque I would like to see an electric Mud Bogger 4X4!!!

This is quite fascinating. I wonder why this story is not more popular or publicized?

It's like the Chevy EV1 that was squished.
There is a full write up on the main page. Pretty cool 8)
The big three and fuel companies try keep it down to a whisper.
He funds this all privately and by small donations from Tech companies.
So this is his advertising by racing it and getting people interested
one group at a time
growing slowly trying to get national intrest so people will know what is really out there.

In the way of a fully-modded buggy I think the problem would be battery life, as it always is.

I'm looking into the future of Hydraulic Hybrid myself.

Yeah he said that he recharges it after each run to get full potential and power.
Takes about 15min. to charge on 110v.
thats why I thought a mud runner would be cool it runs races simular to 1/4 mile run races.
