I ordered my new Shrockworks Bumper and skid plates for the radiator and transmission last week as well as a Warn M8000 Winch (that I'm going to have professionally installed :D) I'm hopeful that the bumper will arrive before I go to Alaska and they said that it "should" be done by the end of May....

Now I just have to go buy an X to put them on lol. That comes in April.

Great to hear, Ed!

It's a bittersweet experience for sure...getting over an old love by replacing it with a newer and better love. I hope you have as much fun modin' your new truck when you get it as you did with your old one.

As for me, I have to say that my X is looking quite nice with the addition of your old sliders that I picked up from Jessica on Friday last week!

All I can say is I wish I had known about Shrockworks before I bought my ARB bull bar! If the Shrockworks bumper is built the same as their sliders, I can't even imagine how much more burly the Shrock bumper is over the ARB.

Happy to hear you've made the commitment to move on and get a new X. Hope you find a really nice one to work on and mod.

I have both, and the Shrock is twice the bumper of the ARB.

I have to agree if I had known about shrock 5 years ago I would have gone with their bumpers instead of my front arb and rear calimini...

Thanks all. I know it's probably a bit unusual to buy the mods before the truck, but i'm on a time pinch. I'm looking at a black 08 and a silver 07 right now. I have Coastal on the lookout for a Black OR which would be cool, but I will settle for any trim 07/08 for the right price. I figured if I could get the new X up to where the old one it might make it feel a little more like the old one. :)

Gene, You bet i'll be giving you a call when the stuff comes in.

Erik, I'm glad the sliders are looking good on your truck. You have to put up some pics.

Thanks again. See you guys soon hopefully.
Ed
