I got this in my email today: Nissan Cube

Kind of like the Element or Scion, only a Nissan, so a lot cooler.

Looks like a Land Rover knockoff

Wow, I would never think Land Rover when I saw that. I would say it looks like an HHR or a Scion.

Really weird with the wrap-around window in the back, but I like the swing out rear hatch.

122 hp in that little thing, I'd imagine that would move.

4-wheel drive????

No...no 4WD that I am aware of (no AWD either)...should be the same engine as the Versa I believe...and they thought of the asymetrical windows in the rear (one side quite different from the other) as the drivers side rear window in all vans/trucks/SUVs is useless as the driver cannot see out of it by mirror or naked eye and thus decided to use that space differently than in the past...

it's a pretty cool concept.
And, as a commuter vehicle, it would be pretty cool.

Here's the link I saw: http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/hot ... ty_file__1

and a section of the article:
Our Japanese Cube is powered by a 95-hp, 1.4-liter inline four-cylinder driving the front wheels. Supplemental traction is provided by an electric motor on the rear wheels (called e-4WD by Nissan) that?s powered by an engine-driven generator. Since the device sucks power from the engine, it doesn?t help acceleration. There?s an optional 107-hp, 1.5-liter engine, but we doubt the extra 12 horses would do much to rejuvenate the lethargic Cube. Around town, the Cube can keep up with the flow of traffic, but to get up to highway speeds it?s almost Smart-like in its torpor, although the Cube?s extra size makes overtaking howling semis less nerve-racking.

it was talking about the japanese model though, and the US model doesn't seem to have that, oops, my bad
