( this is long sorry but its a good read)
when i first got my xterra i was a lurker of a few forums, the Xoc and the Firma. i didn't always hang out in those forums and i hadn't been bittin by the bug yet, and i was not even registered at nexterra, prior to the merge.
i do know that through my googlebar i found spencerlowracing.com and liked the items i found. i went to the two sites i knew for xterras then did searches.
at the time guys were raging about how killer his stuff was, and some guys b!tched about service.
either way i thought it was all just talk room talk, and let it be.
i did mail slr and asked a few things basically tire kicked. he replied quickly and was eager to help. i sent him a reply asking if he had shackles, and upper arms for the 03 X.... i wanna chase my dad's jeep, blaa blaa blaaaa. i explained i didn't know much about my truck, and was up for some advice.
that was it. i hadn't ever heard back from him after that. no reply with a price, no hey dude i'm outta here... nothing.

shortly before Christmas (this year now) out of the blue i get an email,
" hey let me know if you need anything. "

so i reply with,
hey man thanks for the quick reply, i forgot what i was looking for then.
are you back into the game ? i heard you quit making Xterra parts a few years ago. if your looking to pick up side projects, then can you price me up a set of arms for the front of the 03 X ?

am i missing something ???
what's your take ?
i don't know if he owes anyone any parts here or anything, i just figured i would try and get an idea of what this guy is all about.

I had heard that some of the guys that used to work there started a new company, but I don't know to much about it.

Well it sounds like he's just trying to help people one bye one. And if you can get something from him, then Good Deal cause i miss his stuff too. I say Try it. Unless theres something i dont know...

What does he want to sell you, how much does he want to charge you and how does he want you to pay? I don?t know if I?d send any money to him. If he accepts credit cards then he?s in business. What is the name of his business is there an address, a contact phone number? These are all questions that a legitimate business is not reluctant to answer. I wouldn't mind getting a set of stage III UCAs.

cbzdel (XF, ClubX) just recently got an email from him too, asking what parts he wanted....

we think he has a pallet of extra parts in his garage that he's trying to unload....

Post up the pics and prices...there are certainly people who want what he has sold in the past given its quality...just have to be super careful about how to pay for it...

Yeah I'm with Mike.. I've read about alot of people loosing money to that Asshat. I wouldn't wanna see more loose it to him.

I agree I almost lost out on money but I called my credit card and they credited me the money he owed me and they took care of it. Shortly after that he went out of business.

well to be quite honest i am not in the market to do any mods to my rig right now. i found it amusing when he emailed me back so i entertained his efforts.

i would like to put a set of arms in my X to get a little more lift in front, but just not now.

i was more asking to see if anyone here could tell me the story of why he just upped and left, and also to give a heads up if he owed.

To be honest I don't think anyone knows why he just packed it up and called it over. There was many stories floating around but most turned out to be nothing but rumors.

But I am going with an out of control foot fetish that took over his life, preventing him from leaving the local Payless shoe store... Thus keeping him from completing and shipping orders.
