Hey all! I know I've seen the boards a little quiet latley.

Just wanted to reach out and hope all is well with families and such. Hope everyone is staying healthy!

Doing well here in NY, struggling a bit with no work coming into our plumbing company. We are all healthy though..

I know its tough for some right now. I hope this all gets better!

Fortunately, I'm still employed and have been keeping busy. My wife was laid off a few weeks ago. We're hoping she can find another job once this is all over.

My family and I are still well and I'm still working.

The two guys that own the supermarket a couple of doors down from my shop got it, one of them is in the hospital on a ventilator.
One of the guys working for them got it and died.

I was in touch with our old friend Vinnie who's still on the job and he said their "dropping like flies" where he's working; he's seen 24 dead in the past 3 days.

A friend that works in the local hospital had it and was told to report to work as soon as she didn't have a fever. She said everyone working there is scared and most likely has it.
Folks can't get information on family members status until the patient is ether released or dies because the system is so over run...patients are dying alone or with a stranger in a hazmat suit holding their hand. Fucking tragic.

Our friend Anthony, who is on the front line up in Rochester, had it but is well and back at work.

All these folks denying this is real or ignoring and protesting the stay at home orders are fucking assholes.

Be safe and stay well my friends.

Man. It's tough to hear all that, Tom. Have you been in touch with Anthony? Tell him I said hello, and I'm glad he's doing better.

Both he and Vinnie deserve a ton of thanks for being on the front line daily. I can't even begin to imagine what they've seen and been through.

Damn Tom. I'm sorry you guys are going through that. I can't imagine.

I'm still working, not super busy but enough to keep the doors open and bills paid. Kristin is teaching online, so that's good. She was starting to go stir crazy.

We really need people to start following the stay at home orders, etc. Around here, it looks like business as usual on the roads. It sucks. This thing is never gonna go away at this rate.

I need to wheel! And fish.

I will.
Vinnie is in another world bro. He's a Housing cop in Brooklyn Service Area 3. That means he works the Brooklyn housing projects. It's a shit show during the best of times.

I have a cousin who is finishing up a 30 day deployment to NYC and a bunch of friends from the company I work for went down there too. My wife said no f’n way. But I’m busy here at home anyways and have so many COVID patients too. Mostly nursing homes and group homes all have it. Lots are dying in those demographics and we use full PPEs when treating them. It’s hard these days but we keep pushing and trying. My company Cataldo took away our weekend stipend and cut all of our hours, now they are asking us to come in more bc we are short staffed on Medics and EMTs and it’s really busy again. We get new information and policies everyday now. Few other states are almost as bad as NYC and they will be that bad within a few weeks too.
Everything for everyone with jobs and this virus is so awful.
It’s true people need to really distance themselves and stay home for a bit. This is what happens when you don’t. I’m tired of doing cardiac arrests on people who should have never had the virus in the first place bc of stupid people. I know this is hard on everyone some more than others but it’s people Lives literally on the line. It’s so contagious and it affects everyone so differently.
I take so many precautions when coming home so I don’t give it to my family accidentally bc I have daily contact with COVID patients.

But in other news I caught up on all my bills (which is sooo wierd since so many others are now getting behind) I’m actually able to get replacement/new parts I have desperately needed for the X and the wife’s car.

Everyone please stay safe!!

We are doing well here in central Pa. Active cases have stabilized some what so that's a good sign. Most folks are wearing masks of some sort but there are still fools running around without them.

I was off for a week but have been working on "essential" jobs by myself the last couple weeks. The governor is allowing construction to resume on May !st so we will see how that goes.

A big THANK YOU to all on the front lines. Everyone be safe and hope to see you on the trails soon.
