Hello Fellow Xterra Enthusiasts
I'm currently working on an MSEM at UMass Lowell and I'm in a Marketing class. We are inventing a theoretical product and creating a marketing plan for it. My product is a GPS based device that plans an offroad route where no roads exist based on driver risk appetite and vehicle capability.
What are some features YOU would want to see in a product like this? What kind of "vehicle capability" questions do you think would be helpful? (Please keep in mind that they would need to be option based, not open ended. E.g. Do you have at least 35" tires? Do you have a rear locker?)
Thank you in advance for your help. You're all awesome.
Brad

elevation and or topographical overlay for route vehicle dimensions width, height and wheelbase would help map out a route if it was data logged previously
like, ok you guys can go this way and the others can go around this way ie they are to big or too small to fit ect.

"an offroad route where no roads exist"
Across open deserts, over open tundra, through virgin forests, over mountain ranges down coastal beaches? Maybe across a few golf courses and farmers fields? I don't think much of this exists legally any more. Or are you talking about a data base listing of legal 4X4 trails and unmaintained public roads with up to date conditions? Seriously all I'd want is access to the data base, I don't want an app to give my rig a trail rating. Just list what trails are available with a consistent rating system and let me determine what rating I want to tackle with my X and company I'm with. While I'd like to have this data base I don't want all my local trails listed, they already get too much traffic.
Good luck with the project! Scott
