Anybody have some snow tires for sale near Montpelier, VT?
As long as they have one season left on them, to get me through to April will be good enough. Mounted on their own steel rims would be even better!

I currently have 265 / 70 R 15 on the stock 15" rims, so if it's tires only, I need 15's.

If they are tires and rims, size doesn't matter as much.

BTW- A friend of mine lives in Orwell, VT - Jed LaPrise... know him?

I'll look - I may have a couple for 16" wheels but not sure if I've got any 15's.

I know who Jed is but don't really know him. I grew up near where Dawn lived in Whiting.

I've got three (maybe 4, but the 4th's not with the others?) 245/75-16 snow tires in our barn. They're not new but could get you through a season easily enough. I don't believe they're dry rotted but have been dismounted for about 2 years now. I was hanging on to them for spares but if you want, I'd sell them for $20/ea - if I can find the 4th I'll sell you the set for $75.

Grabbed some pictures, can text to you if you PM me your cell #

You'd obviously need some wheels, though

Thanks folks, given these options I tried to run down alternate 16" rims without going mail-order, what an exercise in frustration, unless I wanted to pay Nissan Stealership prices.

Visited 4 tire shops around town, and 3/4 of them recommended staying with the 15" and getting a slightly narrower Nokian Rotiiva AT for the Xterra, because "That's a weird size, and they've found these are the best performing tires in that size"...
Nobody actually _had_ any in stock, but the 3rd place I visited called three other shops around the area, until we found 4 of them, and invited me to go out winter-wheeling with them once I got them installed.

Took the X down some 6+" heavy wet snow-covered logging roads this morning and I couldn't be happier with the performance of them. The ride quality on dry clear pavement alone is far better than my old Generals.

Not delighted about the price-tag, but for a 50k mile tread life, (and a strong urging to NOT take them off in the summer unless I'm doing a lot of highway driving or towing my camper in extreme heat) it'll get me through the next few years without the fall/spring tire change-overs, being a partially disabled Veteran, that has some definate advantages for me.

Glad you got it figured out.

I finally did find the 4th tire of that set - had used it as a temporary spare for my wife's Pathfinder and put it up above our shed.

Those Rotiva's should treat you well - the tread design is a lot like the Hankook Dynapro ATM's we put on my wife's Pathfinder last year.
