does it need to be supercharged or not. i know a yard here with 2 2000 models with around 36k or less on them.

I don't think the 2000 models will work with my year....I cracked a piston, shooting oil out the exaust....umm I think it's gonna be cheaper and easier to replace the engine than replace the piston and do a bore out and chance the heads cracking later....

You are probably right. It's also not to difficult to get the engine out and in.

Start labling all the wires now. Some are not exactly the same, even in the same model year.

Got the X back last night.... ahhhh it felt nice to drive it and get off-road again. I'm still not 100% sure what caused the engine ticking, since it was a core swap, and the junkyard didn't want it getting ripped apart. I'm thinking cracked piston, but possibly something came apart in the S/C.... Guess i'll never know.... anyway, engine and S/C with 1/2 the life on it @ 55,000 :D My buddy said if it wasn't for the BL it would have taken atleast twice as long, and would never do one without the BL... Sooo if you need to swap your engine, put a BL on.....
