My tool guy told me of this vid. because he knew of my rollover in the 4runner.
So I had to share it. This will get us primed for our Recovery 101 class.
Here is the absolutely wrong and most stupid recovery I have ever seen  .
The driver is getting into the 4runner!!!
and the driver is outside and tries to get back in during the recovery. :bang:
See if can you find all the things so wrong with this Recovery.
Here it is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xNZwwUwKLI

My short list:
#1 Driver in and near the rollover vehicle!!!!
#2 drinking beer while wheeling beer3
#3 winching down hill towards the other vehicle WTF
#4 no check/ tamer strap to appose the winching action :bang:
#5 driver trying to get back in during a recovery and ejected :freak:
#6 no cable weight/ dampener to tame cable if broken :dead:
#7 the winched vehicle landing on the winching vehicle :1629:
I could go on but you get the idea
Tell Me what you see wrong.

No kidding! Morons.

Ernie...I agree with all your points, but in #6: if it's a nylon one, you don't need it. But watching those idiots, it probably isn't nylon and they SHOULD have had something on the line.

He's destined to get the award at some point.

I don't see him getting that close and learning a lesson.

So, maybe next year

It's not seen in the vid.
If you click (more info) in the notes sec. on the vid.
The posters notes said that a lot of beers fell out on the 1st roll with all 4 people in it.
I took that as they were new empty/full cans that were cleaned up before the recovery.
also seeing the actions of the driver & putting 2+2
But he could be straight and very stupid too.
