Ahhhh was it one of those cheapy aluminum caps? If so, yeah those are horrible. I had problems with them on a previous vehicle and I had to have the whole nipple removed and replaced. They fuse themselves on and don't come off.

ANYONE wanting to pupt them on. DON'T!!!

Might want to look into some expensive but good caps. No-Loss Valve Stem Caps

Now while I do have a set of these myself, the only thing I really wish was that it came with 5 units and not 4, that way it would also cover the spare tire.

In finding this item for the link I saw this and thought it would have been a nice addition to how you broke the tire bead Pepper. I do like the site's suggestion of being able to stablize the jack in unusual situations.

:bat: oh hey, diggin that bead breaker!

I'm happy with my little normal black valve covers.
I'm actually looking to find some good deflaters that you can adjust.

 Thanks Don!!! You are awesome!

Well if you looking for deflators, check out this product review page.

Personally while it is somewhat of a pain to attach I actually picked up this productjust not in the red/orange hose & gauge protector cover which got a rating of 3 on the above review page (product specific). This one actually takes the valve stem out to make it easier to deflate.

About $30-40 is what I paid, if I remember correctly. I actually need to do some speed tests with the 5-way inflate/deflate setup I made (spare too). Nothing like deflating without a valve in the tire stem. If anyone wants to search for one here is the term: EZ Deflate tire
