First scare so far in 2 years!
Took my eyes of the trail as I was looking out into the woods, and boom. Slammed a rock with my lower control arm bracket. Little noisey till it worked itself free from metal to metal. All good till I need to replace it, gonna have to heat it up and bend it back a tad. Later after airing up, drove nice and strait down the road. All good! Took pictures of driver side good, and passenger side bent. Darn rocks.ImageImage

Sorry for the 3 day late response. Been working. Happened out on an unmaintained fire road in the berkshires. Big rock I always avoid finally got me, the jeeps have been packing the trail down along with the rain so the Rock keeps getting bigger lol. Wasn't looking. I think its a trend in the making, because ripper always ends up breaking something out there too lol.

None of my local municipalities have given permission to use the fire roads :( I even offered to leave it cleaner than I found it. No dice.

Most of the trails around the berkshires are level 6 roads that are open to the public with travel at your own risk. Most are closed to local traffic from November to April. But as long as you have 4 wheel drive your allowed to travel through. I call them fire roads, but they are public cross roads. The only trails your not allowed on are the ones that say no trespassing and must have name address and phone number in order to enforce the law. No access per town select board signs are not legal signs! They must per state police or like i said, no trespassing with name, address and phone. (Learned this from a state cop.) But I dont even bother testing out these options. I just go where it's 100% legal or friends family property. Of course Nexterra events too. Lol
