Did some exploring this weekend!
This little car keeps surprising me...

Also sidesteps are always expendable...

Nice little car! Looks like fun. You're lucky that side step didn't cause any body damage... Get rid of that thing pronto.

Get rid of the side steps and the mud flaps.

And then come join us on a wheeling event!

Looks like a fun trail. As the others have said, loose the splash guards and steps if you're going to wheel her. They are fluff hung on a capable truck and they can cause body damage.

Enjoy!

OOOH Jeff is going to be jealous! He's refurbished 3 old Rovers to date but never a truck.

Where in Western MA? The look out with the view finder stikes me as RT 2 in North Adams

Cool Forward Control.
With the tall roof, it looks like it's an ex-ambulance?

Not quite. Though they did make them. Mine was built by the previous owner because he planned to do overlanding and camping in it. I have the original canvas and still need to find the rigging for it. But it's going to go back to canvas eventually! Image

Just don't fall into the trap of owning an old Land Rover. Here's what happened during a routine oil change on my old Air Portable:

Funny - many, MANY, pennies ended up being lost before it was finished. Luckily, I got them all back!!
