Mike took it down. Our president has made us aware that NEA can come down on us in some way because the link he posted is a thread from NeXterra. So I guess Mike removed it to protect our club.

Got off the phone with Pennsylvania State Forestry today, they are sending me multiple copies of Bald Eagle State Forest specific trail maps showing all legal trails for motorized vehicles. I will scan and upload to the boards as soon as I get them.

Yeah, saying stuff like “when you come visit our state” and “stay in your own state” you lose me on any point you might be trying to get across right or wrong. If you feel as if I’m doing something wrong why not try to educate me instead of starting an online fight that cannot be won? I know you were trying to protect Mike but IMHO why respond?
A few points about this whole deal if I may…
I do not know what in that park is legal or not but since the police you encountered seemed to be ok with you being there I would assume it was good.
There were a few things in your recovery pictures that seemed questionable but I was not there and so cannot really judge them and neither can anyone else that was not there. That said posting pictures of folks goofing around during a recovery is probably not a good idea.
Expeditionportal is not really a “wheeling” forum so when you post carnage, recovery and stuff like “WHEEL HARD OR DIE TRYING!” on that board you have to expect some grief. A few years back I posted pictures of a group of us wheeling on Robby’s land and got ripped by some “Tread Lightly” folk. I don’t visit that board anymore but still have toned down the pictures I post...anywhere. When we post pictures of ourselves crossing a creek, smacking into a tree, “bushwhacking”, partying in the woods, etc. folks that don’t know us and know how respectful we are towards the places we visit are going to see it in a bad way and may give us crap for it.
The last thing is that the more experienced of us need to look out for the newer folk we invite on trips. Part of going with a group, besides helping folks when they f@ck up, is trying to keep them from fucking in the first place. We are all responsible for each other when we go together. The guy with the Rubi should not have been driving anywhere if he was that “tired”; something worse than just rolling his Jeep could have happened. When you’re out with a group and you stop to camp it might be wise to have everyone drop their keys in a hat or something. One of the many reasons I don’t camp is that I’d be scared some “tired” fool would run me over while I slept.
Hey, everyone makes mistakes; I make them all the time. Hopefully I learn from them but if I post them on open forums it looks bad…I look bad, the folks I’m with look bad and if I link it to a thread on this board…well…
Don't sweat it or nutin'…just sayin’…
