Okay, bunch of us couldn't make it to April Fools but want to get muddy still.

I'm thinking I'm not available on a weekend again until next month, but post up your availability/preferred dates and let's see what we can do.

Mayday Run? Word to Yo Momma Run?

From what we saw last weekend, Gremlin will not be ready for wheeling atleast till May I would think. And even then maybe not be stock suitable till the hills dry out a bit.

Remember gang, running GG without permission via proper channels is forbidden. This property is for sanctioned runs only. Trespassing is not what NEXTerra does. We believe in responsible wheeling wherever we go.

Dave...I don't believe any of us are planning on just showing up at GG...and if anyone even suggested it, there are plenty of us here who would not allow it...

If the head honchos could work out another run between now and EXEC, like within the next month or so, I think some of us might be inclined to go...that's all...

Will, What do you hear on trail conditions? Mid last week we were told by our Bike Buddies that the trails we run out in the Otis direction still have a foot of slushy ice/snow on them. They certainly will be wet and very muddy for a while. Once they get semi-decent, Jeff (JAC04) & I will be hitting them at least every other week. I hope to pick your brains on other trails out that way, better yet, join us again, and show them to us.

We will be posting up when we go, for anyone who wants to join us, although I wouldn't call these trails exactly stock friendly. Parts of them are and I would be interested in putting together a stock friendly introduction to wheeling day RE: http://www.nexterra.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=8220 either in the Otis area or if the club wants to sponsor we could get the Gremlin and maybe even set up a grill at the trail head. Of course that would add a land use fee but maybe closer for guys coming down from the northeast.

Scott

Yes, deff. I remember reading that this is private property, and would deff want to get approval of wheeling there

Next scheduled club run in June 6th Summit & MaBell. It'll be a full day run for moderates & hardcores. For stockers, it'll be mostly a morning run, with an option to ride passenger for the rest.

I have a question and a comment:

First the question. Is the June 6th run in MA a one day show? We're scheduled to be heading to Englishtown that Sunday for the NHRA race but I'd love to get up to MA and hit the trails that Saturday.

The comment is I really like Scott's idea. An introductory wheelin' day with a meet and greet, cookout, etc. is a great way to spend a Saturday and get introduced to offroading and the great outdoors with minimal fear of tearing up a $25K+ rig or being made to feel foolish.

As for the Mayday run, at the moment, May 2nd or May 16th look like the best dates. I'm hoping to get the rig to the shop here in April but after I checked the shops race schedule I'm not so sure that's going to work out.

The MA run is a one day run,but a long day if you run both places. Definitely fun and some challenging trails.
