There was a point in the run I told micah my truck could have done this. Well that changed by the end of the run. If I had full skids, a lift, 33", and set of balls the size of king kong I would have made it. It was a tight trail and there were some spots the the pre-05 X's had a tight squeeze. My extra 4 or 5 inches of width would have killed me.
Especially that spot towards the end where we had to squeeze thru the two trees and it was muddy. And and you had to slide with the mud no matter what..That was tight.

Gene, I think I am going to throw a bow saw in on any future runs. I am surprised no one had one.

At least the sign was mounted on a tree and not a standard metal sign holder.

Nice picture. After all that carnage, with still the worst to come, everyone is still smiling.:)

By the way, my truck is making some weird noises today. I could get under the truck, but I'll solve my problem for now by driving the blue one.

Steph and I had a great time. I will do that road again. As I said many times during the run, I will be doing an SAS. Stronger hubs and Ground clearance!!!!!!

Thanks again Dan and the NEXterra guys for setting this up!
Has Nissan ever made anything with a solid front axle? Seems like there would be a demand for it.

Toyota's first 4runner in 85 had a solid front axle but all that followed had IFS. Even the Land Cruisers eventually went IFS.
