Jeff, he's riding with someone I think. Not taking the 05 on the "road".

Oh man I can only start at the beginning. Everyone had a hard time on this trip. And it is one I will never forget.

Let's see:
- in the first 300 yards someone burned out there clutch. Left the truck
- Dagger, jim, and a few other conquered the first wall.
-In the first 5 hours we covered about 1 mile of the 3.5 mile trail.
-The second wall jim suffered some front passenger side body damage.
-The at a small wall Jim was wheeling had and blew out his passenger side Hub. So we was 2-wheeling for the remainder of the trail.
-Wheeled 2-3 hours in the dark which made it that much harder.
-IN the dark a stock 04 X (yes a stock) got hung up on a rock. Took sometime to get off.
-Stock X suffer rocker panel damage.
-at 7:30 we finish the trail (fun is not over)
-Had to recover int he dark and backwards.
-a 80's 4runner was towing the X forward down the hill and **rolled on it's passenger side". Minor injuries to the drivers son who was in the passenger's seat.
-Luck there was a tree there and Dagger rigthed the truck.
-Toy suffers door and cap damamge.
-I got up at 5am and arrived home at 1 am today.

Long day, but GREAT.

Did I forget anything. Oh yeah Jim was about a gust of wind from rolling over. Passenger sliders were at my chest level (I am 6' 3")

so I am glad I left my truck at the trail end.

It was a great trail, a great day with beautiful weather (t-shirts in November) and a hell of a lot of fun. One of the best trails I have seen and the most carnage to trucks I have seen on one trip.

I am also impressed with all the UNYX people. Many Xterra boards talk about wheeling, but we get out there and do it. For it's short time, UNYX members get out and wheel, just as do the NEXTerra guys. When someting comes up people are there having fun, making new friends, and helping each other. What a fantatic group of people.

I can't wait to see all the pictures. I'm downloading mine off the camera right now; it's taking forever.

It was a crazy but amazing day and I really can't believe I made it through that trail with no real damage. I did have to get winched once, but no big deal.

I'm sure the photos won't do it justice (looking forward to Dan's video though) but this is the first time I've seen a group celebrating the fact that they finished a trail. High fives and congrats were flowing when we hit the end of the trail. I think it took us around 9 hours to finish this 3.5 mile trail.

I'll post the pics I got here in a bit.

I posted some picts on xterrafirma.com.

There was a point in the run I told micah my truck could have done this. Well that changed by the end of the run. If I had full skids, a lift, 33", and set of balls the size of king kong I would have made it. It was a tight trail and there were some spots the the pre-05 X's had a tight squeeze. My extra 4 or 5 inches of width would have killed me.

Steph and I had a great time. I will do that road again. As I said many times during the run, I will be doing an SAS. Stronger hubs and Ground clearance!!!!!!

Thanks again Dan and the NEXterra guys for setting this up!
