Today Speedy,Thumper and I went along for a ride with the Mohawk Valley Mud Crawlers Jeep club.It was fun,I was expecting a lot more (wheeling with Jeeps is suppose to be superior right?),but we still had a great time. After we left the Jeeps who were posing on top of some rocks for photos on a hill that Speedy went up in 2 wheel drive,we and our newly founded "Anything but a Jeep offroad club" went off to our little spot in Plainfield for some Bonus wheeling.Speedy took 4 pics at the Jeep run and a few more at Plainfield including a Beaver Dam next to the road which was pretty cool.

Group shots are pretty cool

here's a link for the pics that were taken of our wheeling today:

A special ThanX to Daryl and the MVMC club for inviting us to tag along.

That's funny, today, on Rt 8, I passed a Jeep with a sticker with Mohawk Valley Mud Crawlers on it. Couldn't find a site for them.

their site is not up yet...their a Jeep club and are hesitant about letting those with other "brands" join.

Seems like you would have had a good muddy day for it.

That's funny about the two wheel drive.

Well, that's ok, when I passed him, I think he smiled, but I'm not sure. I don't think he had any teeth. :D J/K :D

Yeah they believe only Jeeps should wheel.

ROFLMAO!!!

Just for the record:there were some nice rigs out there yesterday, but what confused me was when they were talking their Jeep talk it was like "He's got the CJ or YJ or TJ or Wrangler"...they all looked the same to me except for the 2 or 3 Cherokees (one of which was pretty bad ass). And the gravel hill they climbed (which is the hill Speedy climbed in 2WD) was similar to the one we encountered at the Back To School Run last year .Most of the trails were State forest, snow mobile and logging trails.there were a couple obstacles and one guy tried to climb a stack of logs (didn't happen) there was a water hole that I avoided,it looked pretty deep and I was having a pond flashback and felt it was better to be safe and go around then go through another water damage ordeal.A couple of the Jeep guys that were friendly were amazed that our "Little Nissans" were doing so well.It was a fun day of wheeling, but I think I'll stick to wheeling with the XTerra & Nissan guys, they're more fun and a lot friendlier (is that even a word?) to wheel with.
