Headed out to Bradford, PA today and met up with Erik (furyX) and Jeremy (finallyanxer from West PA Xterra Club). We made our way through snow covered fire roads and trails in Allegany State Park and the Allegheny National Forrest, working our way from Bradford over to Warren. The weather made a turn for the worse early on and it just kept getting colder all day!

It was a fun time but a long day for me. After wheeling I made a surprise visit to my Grandparents in Warren and didn't get back home till 11pm, after driving back 4 hours in some crazy wind and blowing snow.

Here's a few pics..

Erik being blown away by the crazy wind at the round reservoir. Water is pumped up from Kinzua Dam to the top of this hill into this round manmade lake. It is then run back down the hill and through turbines to generate electric.

Those are some pretty good pictures. Looks like a nice mud hole in that one spot!

There are alot of seasonal forest roads like these, but there's some washed out and REALLY steep stuff around there too.

A few more pics:

mike..we had discussed this run in another thread on here (actually..it may have been in the supporting members section now that I think about it).

besides..it would have been almost a 5 hour trip for you!

Thanks again for showing us around this weekend. :) Can't wait for the weather to cooperate with something, ...anything!
