North East 4 Wheel Drive is a site started by Jorge and Steve of NJAX. The idea is to get as many clubs together for wheeling as possible. They are planning a big event, possibly bigger than ECXC, certainly not as cool as B2S run. :D

The big event is happening on May 19 through the 21st of 2006. (I would have posted this in Trail Runs, but I am hoping we will have good UNYX representation as a club) Between us and NEXTerra, we seem to get out there in the great outdoors and actually wheel. Also, Micah hooked me up with this as he will be taking care of two newborns with his wife, who I am still not sure exists.

Wheeling will be at Paragon one day and Raucsh Creek the next. Half of the trucks will go to one park one day and the other the next. The plan is to have food and maybe entertainment at the campground with the infamous NJAX, Non-Stop Go-Go bar, all paid in advance. There will be T-shirts, prizes, stickers and other amenities for the event.

For more information, you can check it out yourself at: http://forum.ne4wd.org/index.php

Hope to see you all there. Mark your datebooks. :D

Scott

One thing Scott didn't mention is that this is not an Xterra event. All types of 4WD clubs are getting involved.

This is looking to be a very cool event. I'm bummed that I won't be able to go. But I would love to see a strong showing from UNYX members!

Is this because the ECXC does not want NJAX at it's event? I read somewhere there was a fireworks incident and a problem with Jorge or steve because they drive a Jeep at ECXC

I will see when the time gets closer.

Jorge drives a Jeep and there's a long thread regarding his ongoing battle with Mike from ECXC on the NJAX forum.

You can read that entire thread on NJAX even if you're not registered, but it's all online drama... *yawn*

I'm excited I can finally take the pathy to an event!!

I started reading that thread after ECXC. I missed the fireworks, and I was up until 2am, yeah, I was drunk, but somehow missed the whole event.

When you run somethink as Michael does, you are, or feel, responsible and if someone messes up, you have to deal with because the crap is in your court. Jorge should just apoligize and leave it at that.

I like the idea behind this run much better than the idea behind ECXC (maybe because I drive a Pathy...)...

But I like the all-inclusive atmosphere much better than the XTERRAS ONLY MOFOS! atmosphere at ECXC....It's unfortunate that I wont be making this event though.

i don't think there's anything wrong with an Xterra only event. I mean..look at all the Jeep Jamborees out there!
