I thinking that is the same trail I toasted my fender. I was going up instead of down. Except going the other way. Tires make a huge difference.

But not to be an ass but where's the blanket on the winch cable? I know it was a synthetic line but you can't have to much safety.

A blanket won't do anything on synthetic line. It doesn't store energy like steel rope, so if/when it snaps it just falls to the ground.

That is true but it doesn't help stop a malfunctioning hook from becoming disconnected and flying back.Don't forget Synthetic lines have more elasticity.;)


those winch savers are pretty nice.I gotta pick myself up one.But first synthetic line first.;)
