Post from a Facebook group I recently joined in NJ - Wharton State Forest Off-roading.

I will most likely be going for this… been wanting to check this place out for while. I hear it’s mostly sandy fire roads with some deep water holes.

Here are a few pics of what the trails look like - think of Freetown in MA before all the mud holes where graded over but with deeper mud holes & miles of sandy trails/fire roads. Nothing really technical but the some of the mudholes just sucked you in. Best to skirt them or be ready to be recovered.

Some where trails were tight, many had encroaching brush but nothing that would cause more than spin stripes. Made for a great day. Many more miles of trails in there.

Oh yes, I had a great day. I see myself going back to explore all the other trails down there. Great way to get away for some time.
