I’ve been seriously considering going to this. It’ll be the last WENT.

Anyone else here interested? I’ll need to book the campground soon. Only a few sites left.

Would be a cool road trip, John, but I'm going to have to pass.

Trails look nice - https://youtu.be/skFqix7U0J8

Also see the pics from NotaJeeps’s recent trip down there. Looks like a great place to wheel.

Yeah, we were just there. Trails are really different from the NE/Mid Atlantic. Lots of clay, not a lot of rocks (ie boulder fields). The trails are rated by an obstacle for the most part, so a black can be a green for 99% of it, but then you hit the obstacle. It's definitely a fun park and HUGE. 88K acres.

As far as the event itself, I went once. Was great for social aspect. The wheeling was ok. Big groups, LOTS of spotting (unnecessarily imo), very structured, pre determined trails etc. I get that, it's a big event with lots of trucks. But we couldn't run a couple of the specific trails that we were supposed to one day because of rain, so we just finished early.
