With ECXC and ORFA cancelled plus Gremlin Graveyard off the list of places to wheel, I'm looking for other runs to do. Looking at Went, but that's a 12 hour drive. What else is happening this summer or fall?

A couple of independents were looking to do something but I haven’t seen them around in a while.

A few guys went to Rausch last weekend. It's still too early for me. Keep an eye on the boards...something might pop up.
Nothing organized by this club will be happening in the near future. When something is it will be posted.

NEA4WD mentioned on Facebook runs the second weekend in June (13-14). Too short of notice for me but I'm curious about the location, where's Butchers Block?

Yeah, I saw that too. Couldn't find any info on the location. There's a couple runs at the Battlegrounds coming up too.

Butchers Block is a new private property - the NEA run is to show member what the property has to offer. Attendance is limited to 2 per member club because of that.

I believe it’s somewhere near Adams, MA. Don’t quote me on it but NEA was suggesting clubs could do OFR & Butchers Block together for future events - that suggests to me that the trails are similar to OFR.

Isn't OFR like minimum 35's and dual lockers?

Even with that at least one person in the group needs a winch. As long as you have that I've seen guys open on 33's get dragged through...
If the water is deep at the end you might want a snorkel....

NEA posted on Facebook
"The Butcher's Block forum section is now available for club sign-ups. The property can handle 2 clubs per day so there is plenty of room.

Please review the property information carefully before booking. Have your club delegate make your reservation if you are interested.

Link

That part of the forum is limited to delegates, can we get some details please?

Butchers Block Description:
300+ acre property in Savoy, Ma. Mostly ridgeline property with a good mix of rock, ledge, mud, trail, and many steep inclines. Minimum 33" tires with at least one locker or a winch. The property has 2 entry points and can accommodate 2 groups at a time and both groups will have access to the entire property so one entry is not better than the other except for trailer parking. When booking please indicate if you are booking for north or south.

Trail Rating:
The trails are mostly rated blue with some green and black. A trail map is available below. This map is a work-in-progress and will be updated as the property changes.
