This isn't a set Mod-day yet, but more of an asking for help. I have everything I need to TS. However, as you know the M205 is geared to 3:36. To match this, I purchased a rear axle matched to 3;36 for a cheap 200 bucks. Gears have less than 10K on them while axle has over 80K.

To sum it up, I was just going to axle swap. Well that isn't feasible. The axle itself is not in the best of shape. I am now looking to gut it, and regear my existing axle. This is currently my only hold up.

My TS has been on hold for months now in an attempt to find someone who has the know how to regear and confirm 3:36 gear ratio. Mostly due to my schedule. I am out of town all week except weekends.

If anyone has the know how and is willing to help, I pay with buying lots of beer/pizza/burgers. My xterra will pay you with grease stains, gear oil smell, possibly bloody knuckles, and then looking awesome when done.

We typically do our Mod Days at Dave's place just outside Harrisburg. If you are willing to come help, please let me know and we will look to set a day. However, I am also willing to travel (within reason; PA/NY/NJ) for help. This will have to be a weekend project. Thanks all!!

Not too many have the skills to do this plus a lot of us were in NH this weekend and not looking the boards too much

I have heard decent things about this place
http://atozfabrication.com/

the do regearing and axle builds on d44s so they should be able to do the m226 just fine.... not sure how their prices are but they are in my bookmarks for when I decide to put my 4.56 in.
