Post subject: TBD: Future Mod Day
PostPosted: Tue Aug 29, 2006 12:07 am
:!: Hey Dagger....do you all really get together to help eachother out with mods??? (I don't know where the "you all" came from, I grew up in MA!!!)

I'm driving out of Alaska and will be in CT for 13 weeks and then hopefully, getting something in Upstate NY for 13 weeks. I'm definitely getting the winch bumper for my 2005 X...and sure would like some help making sure it got on right and that I had everything I needed. My male cousins in MA are all yuppie liberal suits and probably wouldn't even screw off my plastic bumper unless they thought they'd get something out of it!!! And, all the cool guys who WOULD help me...well, I'm leaving them behind in AK!

Of course, I'm not leaving out the girls..I'd gladly meet anyone to hang out with and play with the X. Anyway. It wouldn't be till I'm all settled and stuff, but I was just wondering if you guys actually DO that.

Cool. Anyway...happy trails! Thanks!
PS Do you guys know anyone with an FJ Cruiser???

I would be more than happy to help you with your bumper when you get here. Just let me know when you get it. We could do a mod day if others have things to do to.

Cornick's brother-in-law has an FJ cruser and that thing sits just around the corner from me.

Pep, it's pretty easy to do actually. And I'm sure a few of us would be willing to help.

The FJ's are nice. :)

The bumper is pretty easy. Installing the hella lights takes 3x as long with a lot more cusing.

BTW: Build and ship time on a shrock bumper can take 2-3 months. It all depends on how many orders he has. Just a thought for planning.

I may want to get my skidplates on... if I have them by then and haven't mounted them myself.

I updated the dates on the mod day topics to show when these actually happened.

Don't want anyone thinking that there will be a mod day on the actual run day our B2SR. :)

HOLY SHIT! Thanks for the the heads up! I still should have it before the 6 months re up. I'll let you know!

Thanks guys for the help. I took an $8 an hour paycut to work for those 13 weeks in CT to be close to my family and it's killing me. But I should still be able to get it.

You guys are awesome!

Awesome! 1 or 2?

You have really stepped up the mods lately. Rear bumper/tire carrier, locker(s), CO2, and BL. Very nice.

I broke this conversation off as people were getting confused by the dates.
