Sorry I couldn't stay longer, Rome. You lucked out with the weather - it was a perfect day! The install went rather smoothly. What did you end up doing with the front bumper?

It was a fun day. Let me know if you need help with the radiator when it comes in. I should be able to help with the heater core too.

Ok so today I

Sleeved the heater core pipe with 3/8 inch copper tubing and sanded it down so it would slip in and then used a epoxy that glues copper and PVC

Replaced radiator and top radiator tube with longer tube.

Changed rear diff fluid. I had to drill out the drain plug because it was smashed to shit.

Tomorrow I have a guy coming with a welder and we are going to modify my front bumper so it fits correctly with the body lift.

So if all goes as planned it will be on the road this weekend!!

Bad news... So I drove around a bit and then got home and noticed that the heater core is still leaking... There was another crack in the tube, so I tried once again to sleeve it so I'll see what happens... This will suck if I need to replace it...

Even more bad news... you can buy the heater core for 50 bucks but the only way to get the tubes that i need is to go through the dealer or get a OEM part which the dealer wants 300 and online i can get it for 222... this sucks. If i cant make sleeving it work again im just going to bypass it and pipe the two pipes together for ECXC then deal with it later...

Good point I'll call the one I went to before and see how much they want of it.

Did you see this one?

You lost the nipple right? is there a way for you to get another PVC nipple and splice them together?

Yes that is exactly what I did. The only thing is he said he used 1/2" copper and actually it is 3/8" that needs to be sanded down so it can be sleeved.

I used goop for plumbing that says it bonds PVC to copper. I think I did a better job yesterday then the first time so i think it will work now. But I'm going to go pick up JB weld just in case and put that over it too. I'll take a picture of how I did it.
