So if you want to split it up I want to get my BL done this weekend, Friday or Saturday, I've got shop access as a student, may not be able to use the hydraulic lift, but there's bay space and air tools. Would anyone be down to help out this weekend? Can provide some grub and stuff. I'm 15 mins north of Albany, NY

If you were closer, I'd volunteer my time, but with the travel time, I'd be hard pressed to be able to make it. Also, if we want to get it done in a reasonable time period, we need someone who's done more than I have (I've only been part of three) as I'm sure that I could help on the bigger items, but the details like stretching the brake lines, loosening the steering so that it can move with the lift would be those little things that could cause an issue.

I hear that, the shop isn't offering me extended time either, I can use it tomorrow from 5-9pm, friday from 5-9pm and saturday from 12-4pm.

the steering is actually the ONE thing I'm most worried about.

I'm all for doing it with people who know what they're doing, just trying to get some things rolling.

Thanks though!

Has anyone heard of Bay State Off Road? If so how is the quality of their work?

I'm having second thoughts and would rather have time and hand tools than be rushed with air tools. I'm saving this for when I'm on Long Island for the holiday weekend (Wednesday through Sunday) I'll have at least 3 full days to work and my parents cars for trips to the store and stuff.

I've been trying to contact them for weeks. They don't return my inquiries and when they do it's usually brief and not all of what I asked.

As for my lift, I have a lead on getting help getting it installed locally here on Friday, if it pans out I'll post here.

Also ordered my new tires, Nitto Terra Grappler AT's in 285/75r16. Those with a 3" suspension lift should get me around no problem this winter.

I had a mechanic I know do it, about 2.5 hours.

I didn't really have a choice on waiting. Those tires are so bad they are down past the wear bars and the sidewalls are cracking. I'm taking the truck on a week long hunting trip next weekend and couldn't risk bad tires. However, the 33's I wanted didn't fit without the lift, so I had to get it done.
