UPDATE:
Mod day will be on Saturday January 31st @ 10:00AM at my house in Medfield, MA. If you are interested in stopping by, send me a PM and I will send you my address.

We will be doing a 2" Body Lift on my '06 Xterra. I don't have a lot of room for others to work on your trucks, but if there's something simple or small that you need to get done, we may be able to squeeze it in. I have room for around 6-7 trucks in my driveway.

Well, AC finally made a 2" BL for the 2nd gen Xterra so I went ahead and ordered it. I realize that it's possible to get a lot of the components to do this a lot cheaper, but I went ahead and ordered it anyway.

I am thinking about doing this sometime within the next couple weeks. I will be going down to Rausch Creek for the GPAX run the first weekend in February and I would like to try it out there.

A couple of issues that are coming up is that my X is going into the dealer tonight to have the T/C leak looked at as well as my ABS/VDC/SLIP lights (for some reason they're staying on; I think it's a bad ABS sensor). I am also having them check out the alternator as it's whining pretty badly and I will be asking about the most recent recall with the crash sensor.

The other issue is that I will be having my wisdom teeth pulled on the 23rd so I will be out of action for most of the weekend of the 24th.

This leaves me to do it sometime during the week after work as I don't think that AC will get it to me by this weekend. I'll let you guys know the days I expect to do this if you would like to stop by. If I don't get to it by the first weekend in Feb, I'll schedule a full-on mod day on one of the following weekends.

Where exactly are you again Bobby? I have Sun-Tues off normally so I could possibly help on those days.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled (all 4 severely impacted) and I was eating pizza 24 hours later. Here's the trick, get tons of ice packs and rotate doing 20 mins on one side of the face, 20 mins on the other, non-stop for as long as you can stay awake. I had no large swelling and noone even knew the next I had them out. Some people due 20 mins both sides, then 20 mins off, but they still had swelling.

Thanks for the pointers!

I'm in Medfield, MA. I called AC yesterday and they said that it'll ship out to me next Monday or Tuesday. They were sold out of the first production run of them and I am waiting for the 2nd run. Looks like it'll be a last-minute thing or I'll be waiting until later in Feb.

I'd like to join in on this as well to see how it's done and how it looks when it's complete.

I'm thinking it'll be in the garage. If I take off my roof lights and my yak basket, I think that I've got an extra 2-3" of room if I've got my street tires on; otherwise, we may have to let some air out of the tires.

I don't want to be at the mercy of the weather and try and do it in my driveway.

I'll let you guys know a more definite date when I get the shipping confirmations.

And, of course, frosty refreshments will be provided

I'd like to join in on that too. When you set the date. In case I decide to do one in the future.

Alright, y'all.

I got the kit today and got started on the X since I was so anxious. I took my roof lights and my yak rack off in order to fit in the garage. I measured the clearance and I've got a good 3-4" between the roof rails and the top of the door.

So far, I've removed my front/rear bumpers and started disconnecting parts of the wiring harness and the A/C lines. I am going to hold off for a day or two as I will be going up to my GF's house tomorrow night. On Wednesday we're supposed to get hammered with snow so I will most likely not do it that evening as it will be hard for people to get to my place. I am thinking that I will most likely start back up on Thursday or Friday afternoon.

Would it be better for everyone on Thursday or Friday?

I'm going to go ahead and schedule it for Saturday at say 10AM. I'd like to have the X out of the garage before then, but it's a pretty busy week here at work and I don't think I will have a lot of time in the evenings as I will probably be working late.

Anyone interested in coming by, send me a PM and I will send you my address. I am located in Medfield, MA.

No worries, I'm sure I'll be working on it most of the day. Feel free to stop by.
