Both body lifts got done yesterday. Jay's went very smoothly with the exception of his steering shaft. There was not much shaft on the spines to begin with, which didn't make me too happy. When we lifted the truck, of course it came off. It took us two hours to get it back on. Jay truck has been in a couple of accidents, so the shaft may have collapsed slightly.

Anthony?s truck went well. We had to replace the air conditioner condenser that kissed a tree a few weekends ago. As know, putting it all back together takes time. We finished up around 11 last night. I, for one, am tired and sore.

I know Anthony got some pics taken, not sure of what or how many. Dagger I think we should prep a list for future lift mod days (pre and post tasks, what to listen and watch for etc, I'll try to get my thoughts together & email you the file) to avoid the problems we had yesterday that shaft of Savage's was a real PITA. Between yourself and me,I'm sure we could get a good complete listing of things to do and watch. I know how Dagger is feeling as I feel like the two trucks ran over me today. Actually the condensor wasn't that bad, think we timed it about 1.5 hours. Driving home in the rain, fog and snow made for an "interesting" trip since city boys like myself are so used to lit roads, luckily no deer decided to show themselves.

No, just with Jay's truck, but it was enough to give us a lot of concern with Anthony's truck. Both my trucks have plenty of splines on the shaft. My Yellow X hugs right to the steering box. so it gave us some concern.

Donold's right. We should make a simple check list, stick it on the window before we lift. I forgot to undo Anthony's driveshaft safety loop until we started lift. Didn't forget it on the first one, but then you start getting a little tired and foget things. If it had not been for Jay's steering shaft, it would have been a nice, clean job. That set us back several hours.

Looks good Anthony..

That sucks you guys had the problem with the steering shaft. It was probably the same damn thing we was having problems with on mine.It was almost like it was way too short.
